Health Care Application – ECG Monitor

Business Challenge

Our client, an Israel healthcare company, wanted to provide its customers with a mobile terminal able to hook up the ECG Recorders/Transmitters by Aerotel Medical Systems. The mobile app should have retrieved data from ECG devices, saved it to the patient profile at the central database and made ECG results available remotely for doctors and patients.

Solution

Our team developed a server-side + Android app solution, which allowed:

• To gather data from personal use ECG Recorders/Transmitters via acoustic or digital wireless transmission (BT)
• To pre-processes results, splitting ECG onto 12 segments as needed to interpret them
• To store data to patient’s dossier and makes them available for remote access and sharing. The latter was implemented for the Android tablets

Result

The implemented solution gave the client unlimited flexibility in data transmission, providing speed, usability and transparency to the patients.
